SITUACIÓN:

SITUATION: ATTENTION! As you know, FFAA is a mod that has been around for over 13 years. We've worked not only on Arma III but also on ARMA 2 and Operation Flashpoint. Over the past 9 years, we've strived to deliver the highest quality content, adding 40 vehicle models and nearly all the equipment used by the Spanish Armed Forces. All of this has been created by and for the community.

INTELLIGENCE: Before getting to the main topic, our new logo, we want to talk to you about this platform. This is where the most detailed official communications about the mod will be shared, including changelogs, which you'll also find on Gitlab, and the COMRADS, which we'll discuss later under "content creators."

FFAA MOD is entering a new phase. First things first, you're probably wondering, "What happened to our logo?" Well, let us explain. This isn't the first time the mod's branding has undergone changes.

Old Logotype:

The New Era: With this new logo, our goal is to distinguish ourselves from traditional military symbolism. While our content is indeed related to that sector, this new version allows us, as developers, to appeal to a more technological audience. It also gives us a unique and attractive identity that is not based on Spanish state symbols, thus avoiding any potential copyright issues.

This new logo was created from scratch. With the arrival of new developers who could assist us in this area, we collectively decided that we needed an update. We went through over 52 different versions of the logo until we found one that met our needs.

The aim was to minimally renew the symbol that had been present in various iterations of the logo—the bird. We ended up integrating the letters within the symbol, adapting it to create what is now known as FFAA.

The Purpose of This Change: The versatility of our new logo is key. It can be adapted with different colors, shapes, and sizes, allowing for greater flexibility within the ENFUSION game engine. This adaptability will facilitate its appearance on items, in arsenals, and more.

Our Website: As you've likely guessed, our website will also undergo a redesign. This means updating all the content it hosts. We don't want to overlook the contributions of our previous creators, modelers, and integrators. Therefore, our website will include a section called "Legacy Mods" to honor these past contributions (details to be announced). Since ARMA III still has a large player base, the FFAA mod for this platform will remain easily accessible in the taskbar or categorized under Legacy Mods.

Content Creators: You're in luck! With the introduction of this new logo, we want to make it easier for you to use and implement our brand in your content. Please note that our brand is protected under the Creative Commons license (CC-BY-NC-ND 4.0). To support you, we've made the FFAA press kit publicly available. It includes various versions of the logo, typography, and gifs.

In the future, we will share different wallpapers via Twitter, which we've created for you to enjoy alongside the content we've developed. We also aim to establish communication with figures from various units, clans, or groups to create Community Reports, similar to the official Arma reports but for the Spanish-speaking community. These reports will be released monthly, providing both you and us with new content to share.

With all this, we bid you farewell and wish you the best from the FFAA mod development team. See you on the battlefield!
